A divided world is a world at war.

In war there are always casualties.

In an oppressive environment that is a caricature of the class-distinction and the division of a troubled society, a dying, desperate, father, submits himself to a radical experiment, so that he may live to prevent his troubled son from traveling a disastrous path toward ruin.

Due to the tampering of outside forces, the experiment goes terribly wrong and results in something other than a cure... he changes, becoming something more than human, housing what could be the next step in man's evolution and the secret to immortality.

In a twist of fate, he is stalked by the same forces that caused the accident... a national government security agency that views him as a threat to mankind, and a twisted and powerful tycoon who wants the secret for himself… at any cost. They hunt him down unaware of the effect that their struggle could have on the precariously balanced society around them.

His only chance for survival rests in the hands of lost children, and the help of his estranged son.
